Mets vs. Phillies (10/5) - Prediction

**Disclaimer - I am a sicko Mets fan

“Nobody in the ballpark, 0-5. Hitless through 7. It feels like rock bottom” to playing the Phillies in the NLDS. This Mets team has been nothing short of a fairy tail this year and I don’t think the fun stops today. 

I have zero statistical evidence to support this claim, but I tend to give the advantage to the WC teams that have been playing meaningful baseball the past few days, as opposed to the well rested team that could come out to a slow start. Now, the Phillies crowd should have no problem getting them fired up, but it’s going to be hard to get into Senga’s head because he barely understands English, yet alone whatever will come out of those Philly trash bag mouths. 

The public seems to be all over Philly with 86% of the bets and 80% of the money on them. I can’t justify passing on the Mets at +150 given how well they’ve been playing. Wheeler is an Ace, and it’s a revenge game for him, but this Mets lineup has decent enough numbers off him. Nimmo bats .295 with two HRs, Iglesias bats .417 Marte .304, Lindor .276, and Alonso .294. These aren’t small sample sizes either. 

On the flip side, you have a surprise Senga start, someone Philly was not prepping to see. His nasty movement rolled into a few potential innings from McGill could cause some problems from a HR reliant Phillies lineup. 

Baseball is fucking beautiful. LGM.
